Oahu: New Mall for Kapolei Proposed
The MacNaughton Group and the Kobayashi Group are partnering to create a mall housing retail, restaurant and entertainment venues of a similar size to the Kahala Mall.
The first phase will across Kalaeloa from Home Depot and adjacent 20 acre parcel is under a lease option that may be used for future expansions.
The development, tentatively being named “Kapolei Commons”, would bring Kapolei a step closer to being more of a self contained city. Currently for some goods, residents must drive on the congested highway to Waikele.
